I use all my senses to appreciate tea. I listen to the sound of the boiling water and of water pouring into the pot. I watch the beautiful objects, the gentle dance of steam arising from the pot. I touch and feel the shapes and materials. I notice the temperature and the soft surface of the pot and cups. I smell and taste and feel the tea, what is does inside, to my body and my mind. I let tea soak me and I stay aware of each sensation.
In the stillness of the moment, tea talks – and I listen.
